His knowledge and love for the jungle made this magical place even more special. This was a once in a life time adventure and was worth every penny and then some.

Our tour guide Rickey was very much considerate, knowledgeable and fun. He created a friendly environment to accommodate our girls trip and he even provided the Suriname local food to indulge our taste buds. It was a wonderful tour although he catered for us last minute and for that I’m most thankful. Would highly recommend.

Sea turtles have been visiting the beaches of Suriname since prehistory to lay their eggs. Some of the most significant sea turtle nesting beaches on the Atlantic coast of South America are found in Suriname. Sea turtles are globally at risk of extinction. And even though many in Suriname know this, some still poach and consume sea turtle eggs. As knowledge about the animals is not widespread, most people do not know that only 10 out of 1000 eggs will develop into adult sea turtles.
